I'm Austin, the medicine man and founder behind The Huachuma Project
This project is my heart’s work—building a grounded, no-nonsense, heart-centred community for all who are called. Here, we value real talk, deep connections, healing, containment, and healthy boundaries.

I’m not here to babysit anyone’s persona or validate performance dressed up as vulnerability. If you’re here for attention, theatrics, or another round of blame games, you’re in the wrong place. I’ve built this project for people who are actually ready to look in the mirror and do the work.
Before this path opened, I worked as a welder. I know what it means to graft. I’ve lived through addiction, violence, heartbreak, and survival. I didn’t end up here because I read a book or did a weekend course. I got here because I walked through hell, sat with the pain, learned from it, and chose not to run. That’s the ground I stand on. That’s why people trust me to hold space.
I’ve served thousands of people over the years, trained practitioners, sat in the jungle, trained with indigenous elders, and held more Kambo and San Pedro sessions than I can count. I also trained in Europe to deepen my psychotherapeutic and energetic understanding so I could meet people with both spiritual and practical grounding. This isn’t about looking spiritual. It’s about becoming real.
You’ll know where you stand with me because I’ll tell you. I don’t gossip, I don’t sugarcoat, and I don’t dance around the truth. You’ll get directness, clarity, and real presence. If you’re acting out or disrupting the field, I’ll call it. Not to shame you, but to protect the container.
I don’t take well to people who come in with two weeks of training and try measuring dicks with me. This isn’t a competition. It’s ceremony. If you’re here to compare, you’re wasting both of our time. And if you’re here to prove something, you’ll miss the point completely.
San Pedro isn’t here to rescue you or give you a spiritual fireworks show. It’s here to strip you down, help you remember what’s true, and give you the clarity to start again. It won’t do the work for you. It’ll just show you where the work is. You have to choose whether you’re ready to meet it.
I’m not perfect, and I don’t pretend to be. I’ve made mistakes, learned from them, and keep doing the inner work. I’m still growing, still learning, still showing up every day. That’s why I can meet people where they’re at — without judgement, without bullshit, without pretending I’m above it.
This project is built on honesty, strong boundaries, real human connection, and the belief that anyone can change if they’re willing to get honest with themselves. I don’t care about your titles, your followers, or how many ceremonies you’ve sat in. I care about whether you’re ready to stop running.
If you are, I’ll meet you with everything I’ve got. If you’re not, that’s okay too. But don’t come here expecting to be spoon-fed or worshipped. You’ll be seen. You’ll be held. You’ll also be challenged.
I’m not here to be liked. I’m here to be of service. That’s the difference.
