At the Huachuma Project, we host on-site, small-group 10-Day Kambo practitioner trainings. Our program combines hands-on practice with expert guidance.

Course Content

Safe Kambo Application: Learn how to prepare and serve Kambo confidently, using correct burn techniques, dosage control, and safety protocols tailored to individual clients. 

​Client Assessment: Understand how to screen for contraindications, health risks, mental health concerns, and trauma history to ensure each client’s safety.

Reading the Body: Gain skills in observing and responding to physical cues, such as fainting, purging types, skin reactions, and blood flow changes, while staying calm and in control.

 

Psychological & Emotional Support: Learn to hold space through emotional release, dissociation, fear responses, and unexpected trauma surfacing.

Understanding the Peptides: Explore the pharmacological effects of Kambo’s 16 bioactive peptides and how they interact with the body’s immune, nervous, and circulatory systems.

Emergency Scenarios: Learn what to do if a client faints, stops breathing, vomits excessively, or shows signs of severe electrolyte loss or seizure.

Creating Sacred Space: Develop strong ritual, energetic, and environmental protocols to create a safe, clean, and grounded ceremonial container.

Working with Resistance: Understand and support psychological resistance to purging, emotional opening, or drinking water, without forcing the process.

Serving Sananga & Hapeh (Optional Modules): Receive guidance on how to safely and respectfully serve complementary Amazonian medicines to enhance the client’s experience and integration.

Integration & Aftercare: Learn how to guide clients after ceremony, including hydration, nutrition, emotional support, and recognizing ongoing detox or healing responses.

Legal & Ethical Practice: Use intake forms, waivers, and structured communication to protect yourself and uphold your integrity as a practitioner.

Joining Requirements

This course is for those feeling called to work with Kambo. It caters to individuals seeking a deeper understanding of medicine. 

We only work with committed, honest and sincere participants who value safely held, sacred spaces and honour this time for deep insight and self-reflection.

Participants are required to: 

  • Have prior experience with Kambo 

  • feel a strong call to work with the medicine

  • Be physically and emotionally suited to step up to become a practitioner

What's Included 

  • Daily Theoretical and practical sessions covering, but not limited to the subjects mentioned in the Course structure

  • 9-Night accommodation in Simple, Cosy Dorm-Style Accommodation at the Huachuma Project 

  • Three daily meals prepared to suit a variety of dietary preferences, plus a selection of snacks and coffee for sustained energy throughout the day.

  • Airport transfers on the first and final day of training

Successful Participants 

will receive a Certificate upon course completion 

Please note: Payment for the training does not guarantee graduation from the course. Participants will need to demonstrate safe competence and understanding of kambo application.
